The 7th Annual Dullstroom Winter Festival 2018 is brought to you by Highland Gate Golf & Trout Estate. This family friendly festival will take place over the 6-8th July weekend and features both indoor and outdoor live music shows from Friday to Sunday, some free and some paid. The shows will be staggered throughout the weekend and range from unplugged intimate shows to an afternoon concert at Dullstroom on the Dam.
The Saturday afternoon Concert is from 12:30 to 16:30, however the gates open at 10am to roam, enjoy the view, pick your spot and shop the stalls.
Jesse Clegg is coming this year and will be supported by winter festival regulars – Crystal Park, Martin Bester’s Kinky Robot and the Dully Buggers. The show will be a relaxed family affair and tickets are R150 per adult, R50 for teens – children 12 and under are free.
The Concert at the dam will also feature stalls and food trucks including Greek food, smoked food, pancakes, brackwurst, hamburgers, biltong, bunny chows, De Krans Port and Cafe2go coffee. There will also be arts, crafts, gifts, warm gorgeous clothing, kids toys and more for sale. For Alcohol its BYO – so bring your own coolerbox with plastic cups (no glass whatsoever), camping chairs and picnic blankets with you. Coolerbox Fee is R50 per small coolerbox and R100 per large coolerbox.
If you didn’t already know, this is a family friendly festival and we have a fantastic Kids Zone set up. There will be jumping castles, toys, clay crafts, colouring in, puzzles, face-painters and child parent wristbands.
On Saturday night The Coachman Restaurant is bringing the legend PJ Powers to Dullstroom for an intimate show at 8pm, tickets are R140, while DJ Cyco (also known as Thabiso from Jacaranda Radio) will be our Master of Ceremonies at the Concert at Dullstroom on the Dam and will DJ the after party at the Duck & Trout from 8pm for those wanting to carry on the party.
On Sunday 10am head over to The Mad Hatter for live Music, Bubbly & Brunch. Darling Cellars will be hosting a bubby & wine tasting and there is no charge – just make sure you get your seat in the sunny courtyard.
